There are several types of materials in the world, which can be “mined” from ore veins and used for crafting. Mining an ore destroys it and drops the material, like Minecraft. Ores are shown in the world as respawning slabs which can be broken with an appropriate tool (pickaxe or multitool). Materials can be exchanged much like Silk. The rules for crafting objects are decided by the object’s creator.
From afar, ores have a unique geometric structure that is easy to spot. There are currently 5 material types. This results in a 5-way rock paper scissors theme, like Magic: The Gathering.
